Do you want to: make a difference in kids’ lives? pursue a career in education or social services? gain hands-on experience? Then this might be the opportunity for you! We are looking for dedicated, community-minded individuals to serve as AmeriCorps Members and offer students the one-on-one support they need to be successful in school. Some activities include helping students get connected to needed resources, attend school more regularly, get tutoring help, and develop a more positive attitude towards school and learning. This is essentially an internship that offers a modest living allowance and a generous education award to pay for education-related expenses. If you’re interested, please contact studentsuccessinfo@uwnu.org to receive a full job description.
